LSI uses a consistent process for accurate Life Expectancy underwriting for the Life Settlement industry. We accomplish this by employing the most experienced abstractors and underwriters who specialize in Life Settlements. LSI is headquartered in Spokane, WA, but our team also resides in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Dallas.

Kevin Malone

Founder, Chairman of the Board

Kevin has an MBA from Gonzaga University and is an innovative, entrepreneurial executive with a 40+ year career demonstrating visionary leadership and outstanding performance in business startup, turnaround, and financial/operational management. Kevin founded LSI after acquiring assets from EMSI, and had the vision to grow the business based on the Life Settlement industry’s needs. He assembled his team of industry leading underwriters and medical professionals to help transform his early vision into reality. Kevin and his wife, Christine, live in Spokane, WA where they have raised five children and now have 12 grandchildren.

Sean Malone

President, CEO

Sean Malone joined LSI in 2020 as president and became CEO in 2021. Prior to joining LSI, he worked as a management consultant and insurance agency owner specializing in high-risk personal auto insurance. Sean graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Management Science & Engineering, with a focus on Financial & Decision Engineering. He holds a CIC designation from the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. Outside the office Sean enjoys golfing, skiing and lake life around Spokane, WA with his wife and their two boys.

Monideepa "Moni" Chetia, VP of Underwriting at Longevity Services

Monideepa "Moni" Chetia

VP of Underwriting

Monideepa Chetia is an MD by training and spent the early part of her career in patient care. She started in risk management with New York Life (NYL) in 2001. After NYL, she led life underwriting at Aviva Life. Moni started her work in the area of Life Settlements with AIG in 2008, and joined LSI in 2016. At LSI, Moni is the Vice President of Underwriting. She is also certified in six sigma—a skill that allows her to view underwriting through the lens of quality. Moni brings in thought leadership in Life Settlements and actively contributes in industry forums.

Ken Scott

Director of Underwriting

Ken is a medical underwriter with over 25 years of underwriting experience in multiple lines of health and medical insurance, including 15 years of specific life expectancy and life settlement underwriting. Ken has expertise in terminal illness, cancer cases, and all end-stage diseases. He is recognized as one of the top life expectancy underwriters in the field, with a career of over 30,000 individual life expectancy reports issued. He has LOMA certifications in FLMI, ACS, and AIAA. Ken resides in Atlanta, GA, where he loves spending time with his wife, Mary, and their two children.

Corey Malone

VP of Business Development

Corey grew up in Spokane, WA, where he attended Gonzaga University. He has worked in a variety of roles in commercial construction and insurance, where he gained valuable experience in sales, marketing, and organizational leadership. He joined LSI in 2020 to improve quality assurance processes and pursue business development opportunities. In his free time, Corey loves spending time with his family, his wife, Nikki, and their three children.

Nancy Cooper

Director of Operations

Nancy is well regarded as the “Hub” of the organization and one of the original LSI founding members. Nancy is in charge of the day to day operations including customer communication and workflow optimization. When she's deftly ensuring a smooth operation at LSI, she is spending time with her family in Grand Prairie, TX. Nancy is married to her dear husband, Charles, and has one daughter. She is also probably the most energetic grandmother around with her two precious granddaughters, of whom she is very proud.
